GoldenPalace embraces Formula 1
GoldenPalace.com unveiled an agreement with the Faenza Team to become an official sponsor for rest of the 2004 Formula One World Championship Season. The deal, which is the first attempt to enter the prestigous competition by online operator, might boost GoldenPalace.com advertisement.
So that, at the forthcoming American Grand Prix aficionados would gaze at the GoldenPalace.com logotype on the nose, leading edge of the side pods and rear wing end plates of the cars, reported Onlinecasinonews.com.
“Formula 1 has an enormous worldwide following and this is a major coup. We know, from previous experience with other sports sponsorships, that our involvement with Minardi for the rest of the 2004 season will increase our visibility in a huge way and we are extremely proud and excited to be joining the team,” approved the decision Richard Rowe, GoldenPalace.com CEO.
The casino operator probed the campaign’s success at recent Canadian Grand Prix with the Wilux Minardi Cosworth entries of Gianmaria Bruni, Zsolt Baumgartner and official test driver, Bas Leinders, which displayed the company’s logo. According to Paul Stoddart, Wilux Minardi Cosworth Team Principal, the gambling company was satisfied with results and signed the conclusive agreement.
“It is once again gratifying for us that a company that has previous experience of sponsorship has decided that Minardi provides it with the promotional platform of choice for its highly popular services. We warmly welcome GoldenPalace.com to the Minardi family, and look forward to a mutually productive relationship,” commented Paul Stoddart.
Golden Palace have already gained experience in sports sponsorship area, developing contracts with Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League, ARCA/REMAX Stock Car Racing, World Wrestling Entertainment, the Retired Boxers Foundation, and some high-profile boxers and celebrities such as Bernard Hopkins, Magic Johnson, Dennis Rodman and more.
The new campaign seems to bring certain advance with the team, which got rousing achievements at the competitions. According to Reuters, Minardi’ Baumgartner finished eighth at the U.S. Grand Prix, the stunning race with Barrichello, who was so close to overtake Schumacher, but finally gave him 2.9 seconds to complete his 78th career win.
Also the competition received publicity with the frightening crash of Ralf Schumacher, who is a younger brother of race winner Michael Schumacher. He slammed into the trackside wall at about 200mph after the final turn backwards. The driver was delivered to the hospital immediately, and currently he is reported to do well.
Paul Stoddart, Mirandi Australian owner, recalled the competition, which brought their first point in 41 races, “For us it’s just a fantastic result, the guys pick up so much motivation from something like this. It lifts the team so much that we can live off this point for the rest of the year, although I do actually believe the way this season is going that you wouldn’t exclude us sneaking one more before the year’s out. Minardi is clearly everybody’s second favourite team and I don’t think anybody is sad that we got a point.”
Baumgartner became the first Hungarian to score a point in Formula One history. “It’s like a miracle happened today. We were close in Monaco and now we’ve scored here. I couldn’t be happier,” he said.
